Kellie Broggi, MOT, OTRL

Kellie Broggi Picture

Kellie graduated from Eastern Michigan University in 2010 with her Bachelor of
Science and Master of Occupational Therapy degree. She began working for
Wyandotte's center-based program in February 2011. Working in special education
has always been her dream job and is one of her biggest passions in life. Thanks to
her younger brother, who has epilepsy and is cognitively impaired, she knew from
a young age that she wanted to work in this field. Her family is actively involved in
helping to raise funds for the Epilepsy Foundation of Michigan and every year they create a team and attend the annual Summer Stroll for Epilepsy. If you are interested in learning more about this great organization or donating to supporting the cause, please feel free to visit their website at: http://www.epilepsymichigan.org.   Kellie is also a member of the planning committee for the Michigan POHI/SXI Conference, a not-for-profit organization that is responsible for the planning and presentation of an annual, state-wide, professional development event. Other hobbies include coaching a high school girls' basketball team, spending time with family and friends, reading, and watching the occasional reality television show. She is recently engaged and looks forward to planning her wedding and getting married this fall.

Diane Kaip, PT

Diane graduated from the University of Michigan in 1975 with a Bachelor of
Science Degree in Physical Therapy. In 2003, she received her Masters Degree in
Community Health Education. Diane's first passion was to work with children, but
chose not to specialize immediately after college upon realizing that there was still
so much to learn and experience in other areas of Physical Therapy. In her 39
years as a physical therapist, Diane has worked Rehab, Out Patient, Long Term
Care, and Home Care, with her last 15 years spent working as a school-based physical therapist for Madison School. Diane enjoys finding ways that allow students to move and explore their environment, adapting environment and mobility equipment as needed for each student. She is inspired by the teamwork experienced at Madison where OT, Speech, PT and Teachers work together to find creative ways to help students access their educational programming. She is especially excited by the challenge of finding ways to reinforce instructional content presented in the classroom while working on students' mobility skills. On a personal level, Diane most enjoys spending time with her 3 granddaughters, ages 1, 4, and 7. She is devoted to enhancing her own fitness level through her favorite activities including swimming, tennis, biking, and yoga.

Laura graduated from Temple University with a Bachelor Degree in Occupational
Therapy. Additional degrees include a Bachelor Degree in Rehabilitation Education
from Pennsylvania State University, and a Masters in Educational Administration
from Wayne State University.  She has worked in a variety of settings including
neo-natal care, early intervention, and adult physical rehabilitation.  Laura began
working at Madison School in September 2000. She loves the daily challenges
presented by these very special students. This school year, Laura was instrumental in facilitating acceptance to the "Community Partners" program with The Henry Ford Museum and Greenfield Village. This relationship allows Madison classrooms to visit these venues throughout the school year and enables Madison students' families to request tickets for family outings. Laura also served on the planning Committee for the Michigan POHI/SXI Conference, an organization that is responsible for the planning and presentation of an annual, state-wide, professional development event.  In her leisure time, Laura enjoys running, swimming, and gardening.

2012. Denise graduated from Wayne State University in 1992. She started her
career working acute care and rehab for the Oakwood Health Care System before
starting her family in 1995. She returned to work part time in an outpatient clinic

For the last 3 years, Denise has committed to a change in her career path which includes working with children.
